What happens on the day

From the moment you step inside the lovely kitchens and don your practical, yet fetching, apron, you’re on a chocolate adventure. Your Chocolatier will start by giving you a fascinating insight into the history and process of chocolate, explaining every step from sourcing the cocoa beans to the final stages of producing a bar of chocolate. Enjoy your very first taste of cocoa in its natural state. You’ll then get to try a selection of chocolate and you’re sure to be amazed at the different combinations you taste including chilli, tea and other exotic ingredients with some of Green & Black’s finest.

Along with the others in your group, you’ll get to play with melted chocolate and cool it down to the perfect consistency, ready to begin the fun. Next you will either get to create your very own personalised, never to be repeated limited edition Green & Black’s chocolate bar or a giant button which will be judged in a competition with prizes for the best creation.

After a short demonstration of how to make a dark chocolate ganache, you will have the opportunity to create your own ganache and you can set about cutting, dipping and decorating your own mouth-watering chocolates using the chocolate praline also provided.

You’ll also get to take home plenty of your homemade chocolates – provided you don’t eat them all at the workshop!
