Go behind the scenes at Woburn Safari Park and experience first hand what life is like as an animal keeper when you join the staff and get involved in their daily tasks. Mucking out, food preparation and close encounters with the animals, it’s all in a day’s work. Expect grubby hands whilst taking part in this experience!

What’s included

Experience is packed in a smart wallet with a personalised voucher, a message card and all the information you need to book. Personal accident cover to the value of £50,000 plus cancellation indemnity is also included.
What happens on the day
Woburn Safari park is the ideal venue to visit with the family and for some great experiences.
Your day will begin at 9.00am where you will be introduced to the keepers and begin helping them with their daily tasks such as mucking out and food preparation.
Your experience will include an off-road tour around the animal reserves with a ranger, visiting the bigger animals within the park such as giraffes, lions, tigers, elephants and monkeys before getting hands on experience with some of the animals in the foot safari.
A £10 voucher will be given upon arrival and can be spent in the Safari Restaurant. You will also receive a guidebook and an ‘Animal Keeper’ certificate as souvenirs of your experience.
You are welcome to stay in the park until closing time and explore all the other public areas.
Need to know
Minimum age: 16 (under 18s must be accompanied by a full paying adult).
The experience can be booked seven days a week subject to opening times. (1st Nov 2010- 27th Feb 2011: open weekends only - 11am to 3pm (last entry).
Closed 25th to 26th December, open daily for Christmas holidays: 27th December to 3rd January, 28th Feb 2011 to end of October 2011- open daily- 10.00am to 5.00pm (last entry).
Only those with a valid voucher can attend. The voucher is valid for one person.
The experience is from 9.00am to 3.00pm but you are welcome to enjoy the Safari Park until closing time.
Participants must be fit and able to take on all of tasks.
